Gilead Amit is a writer, editor and quondam physicist working as science correspondent at The Economist in London. Prior to that he was deputy head of features at New Scientist, where he also wrote the popular Feedback column and set regular cryptic crosswords.
As an event producer he organised the first TEDx event to be held at the Royal Albert Hall, assisted in the design of the first Imperial Festival, and programmed the content for the inaugural New Scientist Live at the ExCeL Centre.
Over the years he has also written sketches for BBC Radio 4, performed improvised comedy, and participated in numerous live talks, panel shows and events.
